Three-degree-of-freedom force sensor SM18-SST

Three-dimensional force sensors, based on strain gauge force sensors, utilize the principle of resistive strain gauges and are also known as strain gauge three-dimensional force sensors. They consist of an elastic element, strain gauges, and a Wheatstone bridge circuit. The weight of the measured object acts on the elastic element, causing it to deform and produce strain. The strain gauges attached to the elastic element convert the strain, which is proportional to the object's weight, into a change in resistance. The Wheatstone bridge circuit then converts this resistance change into a voltage output. The measured voltage output is displayed on an instrument to complete the measurement task.
