In collaboration with Anhui Broadcasting Television's "First Time" program's "I Help Watermelon Farmers Sell Watermelons" series of activities, 1000 jin of watermelons were purchased to help farmers. The theme was "Remembering the glorious years, cultivating cultural confidence, and inheriting the soul of Chinese civilization." At the event, participants visited three exhibition halls: the Ancient History and Civilization Exhibition Hall, the Huaihe River History and Civilization Exhibition Hall, and the Modern and Contemporary Culture Exhibition Hall. They learned about the development of Bengbu's history. After the Jinpu Railway opened in 1911, Bengbu gradually transformed from an ancient ferry town into the center of transportation, military affairs, politics, and economics in Anhui Province, influenced by the railway. The Huai salt wharf and the exchange of salt and grain profoundly impacted and changed Bengbu's local culture. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Bengbu became the first prefecture-level city in Anhui Province on January 1, 1947. In March 1949, the advance command of the Crossing the Yangtze River Campaign was stationed in Sunjiaxu Village, where the plan for the entire campaign was formulated. After liberation, socialist construction advanced tortuously through exploration. The people of the whole city worked together, relying on resource and transportation advantages, to transform Bengbu into an industrial base in northern Anhui. Standing in the exhibition hall, all Riyue Party members and prospective members felt as if they were immersed in a three-dimensional textbook of Party history and industrial history. Before the photos, artifacts, and realistic scenes, they reviewed the heroic and tenacious struggle and glorious achievements of the people of Bengbu under the leadership of the Party, and deeply understood the original aspirations of the Communists.
